RNs Report Your Ratios
We are collecting data on staffing ratios and nurse satisfaction.  You can complete this each day that you work.  I know that there are a lot of questions, but we are looking for as much information as possible. Thank you.

What have we learned so far?

Breaks:
An under educated and overly opinionated Senator from Washington made some harsh comments opposing legislation that would guarantee nurses received breaks, stating that "nurses play cards a considerable amount of the time", they are at work.  Nurses from around the country fired back.

What does staffing in NJ's hospitals look like? And were are those breaks?

55.6% of NJ Nurses do not receive break, of those nurses 62.5% experience wage theft by their hospitals because they feared retaliation if they punch out "no break". Only 4.2% of nurses reported having a dedicated nurse assigned to care for their patients when they were on break, 19.36% took a break which resulted in a nurse with an assignment having to take on and additional assignment so a break could be given.
It's painfully obvious that New Jersey nurses experience wage theft and often do not receive the breaks they are entitled to.
